For more than a year, we prayerfully considered a most important question: as a congregation, will our mission of "disciples making disciples" be more effective if we were to join another Presbyterian order? The resounding and unanimous answer was "yes." It had become increasingly apparent that our steadfast beliefs are, in many ways, at odds with the beliefs and direction being taken by our current denomination, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), or PC(USA).
After purposeful prayer, study, and reflection, we decided to explore afflilation with an emerging denomination, ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. ECO's mission “to build flourishing churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ” fully aligns and resonates with IPC’s mission "to make disciples who make disciples."
