Location: Fellowship Hall
We are excited to invite you and your family to Student Ministries’ First Annual Mr. Christmas Tree Pageant! This event will be hosted by our high school students, volunteers and staff, and will prove to be a very enjoyable, light-hearted evening for all age groups.
Here’s what to expect from our fun,
youth ministry “Christmas” spin on the Miss America Pageant.
The Contestants—One freshman, one sophomore, one junior and one senior guy. These four will have team support from their class members.
The Competition—There are four separate categories:
• Swimsuit (something creative like “Amish Mermaid” or “Scuba Santa”)
• Mr. Christmas Tree Walk—students will devise and decorate a Christmas tree costume and strap it to themselves for the walk.
Our judges will add up category points and then determine who will be crowned “Mr. Christmas Tree 2013.” (Each year, “Mr. Christmas Tree of Old” will pass his crown to the new winner.)
In addition, we will sing Christmas carols, and a short message will be delivered by Rob Clark, Director of Student Ministries. There will also be a special offering taken for our upcoming Project Africa mission trip.
We would love for you to join us in support of our high school students. The event is free, but PLEASE RSVP to Christina Deal so we can plan our seating.
