Tim McCalmont, Bridge Pastor
Tim is our Bridge Pastor and comes to IPC after leaving the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Costa Mesa, where he served for 23 years as the Lead Pastor. Prior to that, he served churches in Seattle, Washington and Downey, California. He and his wife Ruth just celebrated their 48th anniversary and have three children who are all married and who have given them four grandchildren.
Tim grew up in Hollywood and attended Hollywood Presbyterian Church where he was ordained after graduating from Fuller Seminary. His great loves are photography, baseball, traveling and learning the game of golf. But his loves at this stage of his life are his family and especially his grandchildren.
Much of his time currently is working as the moderator of the Syria-Lebanon Partnership Network, where he works directly with pastors and churches in the two countries and encouraging partnerships between Presbyterian churches in the US and congregations in Syria and Lebanon. He has traveled to both countries three times in the last three years and is planning another trip in April of 2018. His network has helped to build six schools for elementary age children who live in the Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon. The six schools currently serve 300 children.
Tim has spent his first months of retirement serving two churches as a bridge pastor and he is very excited to serve in this transition time at IPC.

Curtis Drever, Leader of Local Missions
An active member of IPC since 1989, Curtis joined staff in October 2014. He graduated from University of the Pacific with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and spent most of his career in high-tech sales while "doing missions" on the side.
Curtis’ passion for missions has continued to grow over the past 20 years through leading and serving on short-term trips to Mexico, Africa, inner-city Los Angeles, and various places in Orange County. He sees his role simply to be an encourager and facilitator, that is, helping others get excited about living out their faith through serving others.
Curtis is married to Michelle and they have two sons, Scott and Kent. Curtis enjoys mountain biking, cooking with Michelle, travel, and listening to his extensive music library. He also loves investing in and developing relationships. You can often find him getting to know people over a cup of coffee or inviting them over to share a meal in their home.

Lauren Knips, Director of Children's Ministry
After Lauren received her M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary, God called her to head up IPC's Children's Ministry in 2010. Her prior education and experience led her to a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and thereafter, to staff assignments at Children's Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, Colo., Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, Calif., and Mariners Church in Irvine, Calif.
Lauren's vision for IPC Children's Ministry is to partner with parents, families and volunteers—following Christ’s leading—to raise children who love and grow in a personal relationship with Him. She is continually grateful to serve with the families and children of IPC.
Lauren and husband Corey enjoy cooking, golf and tennis and frequent trips to Disneyland. A faith-bolstering book for Lauren is In the Name of Jesus by Henri Nouwen.
