Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study: Knowing God
Wednesdays, June 7–Aug. 9 (no class July 12), 9–10:30 am
The classic Christian book, Knowing God, by J.I. Packer is regarded by many as a valuable tool to learn about God and Jesus Christ, and to mature in our faith. Aspects of God’s character will be discussed, such as His love and grace, His majesty and sovereignty, and His judgement and divine wrath. This is a great way to learn more about God in a low-key, friendly atmosphere.
This is a continuation of study we began last summer, but everyone is welcome to join in! To actively participate in the discussion, read Chapter 7, "Unchanging God," beforehand. Please bring your book each week, and feel free to bring a beverage to enjoy during the discussion.
Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study: Women in the Word
Wednesdays, Aug. 16–30, 9–11:15 am
At Women in the Word, we worship, pray and study God's Word. A special highlight of this summer gathering is that we also hear from different female speakers each week. With a passage of Scripture, our speaker will share a personal story, and tell us how God has impacted her life. Our wonderful Junko Cheng will lead us in worship. Women of all ages are welcome, and each week stands alone, so feel free to attend any Wednesday, and to invite a friend!
Childcare is available with advanced notice. Sign up as summer approaches. It's important you let us know how many children will attend so we can have the right number of teachers supervising. Contact the church office at 949.786.9627 for childcare reservations. (Jean Webb is coordinating.)

Starting July 2, various people from our IPC community will share how God is working in and through their individual lives. Their personal testimonies, based on Scripture, will inspire and encourage us to view our own respective “workplaces” as mission fields.
Here's our schedule of speakers:
7/2 - Roxanne Nilsen
7/9 - Aaron Schweizer
7/16 - No class during VBS week
7/23 - Stephanie Choi
7/30 - Rehan Subramanyam
For more information, contact Gabe Fung.
Monday Morning Men's Group: Acts
Mondays, starting July 10, 7:15–8:30 am
Jack Davis Room
Our men's group will be studying the Book of Acts, using the Intervarsity Press Study Guide, Acts: Seeing God's Power in Action (available on amazon.com). This is an interactive study and we'll share our insights on Paul's ministry, early church growth, and the Holy Spirit. This lay-led group is open to men of all ages. We begin with prayer at 7:15 and end promptly at 8:30 am. For more information, contact Jon Dietz.
Themba & Buhle Bhembe Missions Gatherings
Welcome Dinner | Tues, July 18, 6–8:30 pm
Themba and Buhle Bhembe, one of IPC’s beloved mission partners from Africa, are visiting this summer and you’re all invited to give them a warm welcome and get an update on how they are touching lives and serving those in their mission fields. Bring your own favorite meat to grill, and a salad or side dish to share (and bring your swimsuit if you’d like to swim). RSVP at the Missions table on the patio after service, or email Laura Boyd.
Goodbye Lunch | Sunday, July 30, 11:15 am–1 pm
We will say farewell to the Bhembes on Sunday, July 30, after service. There will be a catered taco lunch ($7 per person; campus location TBD). RSVP at the Missions table on the patio after service, or email Tim Leavy.
Royal Family Kids Camp
July 30–August 4
May is National Foster Care month. Irvine Presbyterian Church, in collaboration with St. Andrews and Rockharbor churches, is assembling a team to host a Royal Family KIDS Summer Camp for foster care children from our local community. Volunteers are needed to be counselors or to supervise activities. Camp dates are Sunday, July 30 through Friday, August 4. In addition, camp volunteers are eligible to serve in RFK’s year-round mentoring program. To learn more, stop by the Missions table after service or visit rockharbor.royalfamilykids.org/get-involved. For more information, contact Peter Fyfe.
Tuesday, August 9, 7–9 pm | Fellowship Hall
While many of us know and are excited about our mission to make disciples who make disciples, the actual practice of discipleship may not come naturally or easily. It takes intentionality and learning alongside others — and our Discipleship Training workshops are here to help! Workshops are open to anyone interested in growing as a disciple and being trained to disciple others. Components include biblical teaching, equipping and practice with simple discipling tools, sharing stories of life on God’s mission, group discussion, and mutual encouragement and prayer.
Discipleship Training workshops are usually held the second Tuesday of each month. For more information, contact Gabe Fung,
