Sunday Education Class
Blue Collar Faith in the Age of Purell: A Study of Proverbs
Sundays, May 14–June 25
10:30–11:30 am (No class May 28)

The apostle Paul, in the second half of Ephesians, tells Christians “to live a life worthy of their calling,” and “to walk in the way of love,” and “to live as children of the light.” But what does this mean in the day-to-day lives of modern-day believers?

How does this impact the “blue collar” job of working out our salvation in the secular, sterilized world in which we live? This world has washed its hands offaith. It has immunized itself of God. It has sanitized itself of the spiritual — we live in the “Age of Purell.”

We will turn to the Book of Proverbs to find the guidance to fine-tune our walks as Christ’s disciples. In this workshop format, we will discover the way of wisdom, and encourage one another to avoid the way of folly.

Discipleship Training
Tuesday, June 13, 7–9 pm
Fellowship Hall

While many of us know and are excited about our mission to make disciples who make disciples, the actual practice of it may not come naturally or easily. It takes intentionality and doing it with others — and our Discipleship Training workshops are intended to help us do just that. Workshops are open to anyone interested in growing as a disciple and being trained to disciple others. Components include biblical teaching, equipping and practice with simple discipling tools, sharing stories of life on God’s mission, group discussion, and mutual encouragement and prayer.

Discipleship Training workshops are usually held the second Tuesday of each month. For more information, contact Gabe Fung.
