Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study: Women in the Word
Wednesdays, Aug. 16–30, 9–11:15 am
At Women in the Word, we worship, pray and study God's Word. A special highlight of this summer gathering is that we also hear from different female speakers each week. With a passage of Scripture, our speaker will share a personal story, and tell us how God has impacted her life. Junko Cheng will lead us in worship. Women of all ages are welcome, and each week stands alone, so feel free to attend any Wednesday, and to invite a friend!
Childcare is available with advance notice. Contact the church office at 949.786.9627 to make childcare reservation. (Jean Webb is coordinating.)

Begins Friday, Aug. 25
Our Pizza Friday lunch outreach ministry to Woodbridge High students (a.k.a Jesus Pizza) begins Aug. 25, and we need your help! Specifically, we need 20–22 volunteers to serve the 400+ students IPC averages on Fridays. If you can smile, say “Hi” and hand out pizza at the same time, you’re hired! (You don’t have to be a parent of a Woodbridge High School student or attend IPC.) We gather on the patio at noon each Friday and are finished by 1:15 pm.
For more information, and to sign up, email Christina Brantuk.
El Niño Backpack Distribution and Fiesta
Saturday, Aug. 26
Leave at 7 am, return by 7 pm
Every year we put on a fiesta with our partners and friends of El Niño and hand out backpacks, uniforms and shoes to kids who live in the community. This is a fun day trip where we get to love on the people of El Niño and encourage kids in their education. All ages are welcome — you don’t need to be Spanish-speaking or have previous trip experience to participate. Sign up at irvinepres.org/local-missions-mexico.
Congregational Meeting & Community Meal
Sept. 10 (after 10 am service)
This summer we’ve had a wonderful opportunity to worship and praise God as one body. On Sept. 10, we’ll kick off the fall season with a congregational meeting, and a community meal to celebrate what God has in store for us this coming church year.
Sunday, Sept. 10–Sunday, Sept. 17
Family Promise is a mission that offers loving support to families who are going through tough times by offering short-term shelter, meals, case management, and hospitality as the families work toward their own stability. How it works: three to four families stay overnight at a host church for one week, and the church tries to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
IPC is partnering with Family Promise O.C. from Sept. 10 to Sept. 17, so if you can: 1) stay overnight as a host, 2) prepare a healthy meal, or 3) interact with a guest family during dinner, email Kerstin Tabbert.
Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study: A Fresh Look at James
Wednesdays, Sept. 13–Dec. 6
Women of all ages are invited to come together for a time of worship, prayer, Bible teaching, group discussion, and fellowship as we study the book of James this fall.
For more information and to register, visit the WBS table on the patio after service today, and through Sept. 3, or just show up on Sept. 13 and sign up then. Childcare is available, but with advance notice only. To make a reservation for childcare, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

On Sept. 17, we return to two services at 9 and 10:45 am.
